How it works

A scalper opens and closes positions within minutes.

The pace is the whole game. Here is what a single scalp looks like from the inside:

What it costs you

Every trade pays the spread and the commission, and at scalping frequency those small numbers compound fast.

Frequently asked questions

Is scalping good for beginners?

It is the hardest style to start with: the pace punishes every lapse in discipline. If you are drawn to it, learn the mechanics on paper first and start on a slower chart.

How much money do you need to start scalping?

Less than you think, because position sizing is driven by your stop, not by ambition. The honest requirement is time and attention, not a big account.

Do scalpers really profit from tiny moves?

The ones who last do - by keeping losses tiny too, and by making sure the spread and commissions do not eat the edge. Most people who try do not end up profitable, and pretending otherwise helps no one.
